Utilizing her excellent organizational skills, Jane has helped Olivet Kennel expand its staff to develop and maintain a safe and
efficient environment for your dog’s visit.
While she has been married to Sapir for 30 years and has had constant exposure to the dog world, her route to Olivet Kennel was circuitous.
Initially she worked as a labor relations paralegal for the University of California and at various San Francisco Bay Area law firms. A decade later she sought a career change, completed her teaching credential and became an elementary school teacher.
When Sapir had the opportunity to establish Olivet Kennel, the plan was to move to Santa Rosa for "a trial year." With their two young children in tow, Jane took a hiatus from teaching and became a stay-at-home mom. However, the demand for Sapir’s expertise was high and as Olivet Kennel grew, the office needed support staff. Jane became involved part time while continuing her community activities as an advocate for youth, serving on a number of non-profit boards in Santa Rosa.
Fast forward and the "trial year" happily became 20!
Now when Jane isn’t busy making sure everything is running smoothly at Olivet Kennel, you may find her exploring the roads and trails of rural Sonoma County, hiking, running or biking.
